PTE Academic Scoring Matrix
Set the priority while practicing!
PTE Academic assesses listening, reading, speaking, and writing all via a computer in a single three-hour test session. During the three-hour test session, the test consists of three main parts: Speaking and Writing (together), Listening, and Reading. There are 20 different question types.
The PTE Academic assesses real-life academic English, which means you will hear extracts from lectures and view graphs and charts. You will hear a range of accents in the test, from British and American to non-native speakers, so you will become familiar with the kinds of accents you encounter in everyday life.
