How can I get PTE section-wise Preparation strategies?

PTE Academic uses 20 item types, reflecting different modes of language use and requiring different response tasks and formats. All items in PTE Academic are machine scored. The quality of the responses is reflected on the PTE Academic score report in the enabling skills: grammar, oral fluency, pronunciation, spelling, vocabulary, and written discourse. The score depends on the production of the content and content directly depends on pronunciation. It is important that you understand correct intonation, correct way of pronunciation, clarity, and focus on sentence structure.

Speaking Section

In the PTE exam There are 5 topics that add score in the Speaking section. Some of you may have experienced lower scores in PTE Speaking. Even after multiple times trying you can not gain a good score. Because students lose scores for some common mistakes in PTE speaking section.

  1. Pay attention to a difficult word
  2. Don’t hesitate in pronounce numbers
  3. Take pauses in punctuation to breath in and breath out.

  5. Focus on singular and plural words
  6. Don’t speak too fast or too slow
  7. Speak with confidence

  11. If you can’t manage to remember the whole sentence, at least focus on the keywords and repeat those.

Writing Section

Score in PTE Writing section is contributed from 2 topics. Essay writing and Summarize Written Text. Sometimes students get confused and make common mistakes in the Writing section. One of the most frequently asked questions from students is that, they did not make grammar or spelling mistakes, but their score is still low. Students should be careful to give the right answer along with the right spelling. because if you don’t give the correct answers you will not get scores for content.   1. Practice at least one Essay and Summarize Written Text every day.
  2. Always word count, grammar, and spelling.  For Summarize Written Text sentences, do not write under 5 and over 75 words.
  3. Manage your time efficiently
  4. Pay attention to find the main ideas and keywords.
  5. Focus on punctuation and connectors. make sure only 1 full stop in Summarize Written Text
  6. Don’t provide any examples in Summarize Written Text
  7. Do not write in your own understanding, read the topic carefully and thoroughly.
  8. Address all the keywords from the essay question prompts
  9. Do not use symbols nad contractions in academic writing
  10. Always proof read before clicking next

Reading Section

For the reading section of the PTE Academic, the trick is to have fluency in reading, focus, and understanding. You will be using these skills at once when attempting the exam, but while practicing you will have to learn them step-wise.

  1. Read the question thoroughly to understand what kind of information to look for.
  2. Use reading technique:  repeated words, connectors and pronouns
  3. Don’t spend more than 3 minutes per question to Re-order paragraph
  4. Look for repeated words and hints in the text
  5. Use grammar knowledge, vocabulary, and collocations
  6. Try to understand “WHY” when making mistakes
  7. Make use of the rule of elimination. Narrow down your options as much as possible.
  8. Don’t leave it blank because it doesn’t have negative marking 
  9. Remember the information in the passage as the questions will not be asked in chronological order and you will find the answer anywhere in the passage.

 Listening Section

When you are listening, try to listen carefully. Pay attention to repeated words, connectors, or examples. That’s how you can be able to know which one is the main idea and which is the topic of the audio right now.

  1. Practice exam questions, especially difficult audio
  2. Take notes while Listening
  3. Don’t make blind guesses as this question has a negative marking
  4. Check grammar, spelling, and word count before you submit
  5. Content should be key phrases
  6. Listening to new content will increase your vocabulary which will improve your understanding of spoken English while listening.
  7. Time management is crucial
  8. Don’t spend too much time on small tasks
  9. Take notes while listening and use elimination techniques
  10. Stay focused till the end as the answers could be in the end.

How Can I Give PTE Exam Online?

PTE Academic Online is a new, at-home version of PTE Academic, for when you can’t reach a test center. With PTE Academic Online, you can take your test at home, in an office, or wherever you have a quiet, private space. PTE Academic Online uses the exact same test content, scoring, and format as PTE Academic in a test center. It is a new online proctored option for people who prefer to sit the test remotely, in their own place.

Recently, due to COVID restrictions, traveling has been a challenge for people all over the world. Even taking PTE Academic in a local test center has sometimes been impossible. Many people have had to change their plans or postpone their education for this reason.

Note: It is important to note that while the test is identical in format to PTE Academic taken in a test center, it is not currently valid for visa or migration purposes.
